I joined the Groton Ag Partners team in June of 2023. Prior to that I was the Roberts County Executive Director for the Farm Service Agency until I retired in May of 2023. I began at FSA as a Program Technician in 1984 and worked my way through the County office Training Program in 2009 and became Executive Director in 2010. I have a vast knowledge of the programs offered by the FSA such as ARC/PLC, disaster programs, dairy programs, grain loans, FSFL loans, payment eligibility, and the many ad hoc programs that have been administered at FSA the past few years. I enjoyed my years with the FSA.
As a member of the Groton Ag Partners team, I believe my prior experience working in agriculture will help me in working with customers. I will be providing crop insurance information and keeping up with the FSA Farm Bill and programs as they are released. I look forward to working in the crop insurance industry and working with the producers. I will be based out of my home office in New Effington, SD.
I have four grown children, Amber, Amanda, Justin and Jordan. Amber is in HR and Amanda is a nurse. They both live with their families in Sioux Falls, SD. Justin is an engineer based in Colorado and Jordan farms with Brad on our farm located in NE South Dakota. We live on the farm and raise corn and soybeans. We keep busy on the farm and are both active members of our local church and community.
