I joined the team at Groton Ag in 2021 and was new to the Crop Insurance industry, but I had over 12 years of experience working in agriculture coming from a local coop. For 7 years, I worked directly with producers as a bookkeeper at a grain elevator working with them on marketing grain, managing tickets and contracts, totaling production, inspecting grain, weighing trucks, grain settlements, and processing payments. The remaining time I worked in grain accounting, data analysis, market gain, loss, and risk analysis, and supervising the administration and settlement of all grain sold to soybean and corn processing plants or shipped by rail.
My years of experience working in agriculture helps me aid the agency and producers. I am hard working, organized, and am always looking for ways to streamline processes to help the company and the customers. I consider the best part of my job to be working face to face with our producers.
My family lives just outside of my hometown of Aberdeen. My husband Jeremy and I have three children, Brady, Emersyn, and Cullen along with our bird dogs Kinze, Allis, and May. I love to spend time on the lake on our pontoon, having backyard bonfires, motorsports events, traveling, helping friends and family farm, spending time as a family, and volunteering as a Board Member and Teacher for Junior Achievement.
