I have been working with farmers in the crop insurance business since 1992. I also work with my family on our farm and have been since 1978. I have always thought that it was an advantage to my customers to be involved in both because I can see and understand it from both sides. I feel like knowing the different programs, working with the FSA office, understanding crop insurance, yet looking at it from the perspective of being directly involved in farming, is Important. There have been many changes in the last 30 years that I have been a crop insurance agent, and each year brings new challenges. I have a lot of experience having been involved for so many years and the different experiences have made me versatile and well adapted to the constant changes in crop insurance and in farming.
I have been married to my husband Buzz, for over 40 years. We live near Stratford, and we farm together with our son Dustin and our daughter Lona and son-in-law Bryce Krueger. My primary duties on the farm include doing field work, driving semi and grain cart, and making meals for everyone. Other things I enjoy doing are spending time with my five grandchildren, socializing with my friends, fishing, and riding motorcycles. I work from my home but help in the office as needed.
